Its amazing what a quick removal of the fan grills can do for the nosie of a miner, or any PC for that matter. As air is pushed or pulled throw a small spaces it creates noise. Remove the obstructions and we reduce the noise
Here is the Innosilicon A4 Dominator with the Fan grill and rear grill removed. We see a drop of approx. 5db in the noise level and even a pitch change that makes it more compatible. Its still loud but just not as annoying…….. but only just
But what does this do for our temps, more air flow must mean better temps and in this case it does. We can see a huge drop of approx. 7c just by removing the grills.
Note: With no grill be careful of small fingers. These fans will have your finger off!!!
